The wait is officially over. Apple’s biggest 2026 lineup has landed, with the iPhone 18 Pro arriving in a very of-the-moment burgundy, the first-ever foldable iPhone Duo, new Apple Watches and AirPods 5.
Apple launch day has arrived, and this year there is more to scroll through than just a new iPhone in a slightly different shade.
The 2026 lineup is officially available to shop today, September 18, bringing with it the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple’s first-ever foldable iPhone Duo, two new Apple Watch models and the latest AirPods.

In other words, get your wallet ready for some serious tech buys.
The biggest talking point is, naturally, the iPhone Duo. After years of foldable phones belonging to other corners of the smartphone world, Apple has entered the competition with a $3,499 iPhone that folds in half.
But there is plenty happening across the rest of the lineup, too.
We’ve broken down the new products, prices and standout features so you can work out what is actually worth putting on your wishlist.

Apple iPhone 18 Pro 256GB, $2,097

Let’s start with the one that will probably be appearing in every second Instagram Story this weekend.
The iPhone 18 Pro arrives in four finishes, including the all-new burgundy, which may well be the shade that convinces people they absolutely need a new phone. It has an aluminium unibody design with colour-matched back glass, giving the phone a more uniform finish.
The 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display gets ProMotion up to 120Hz, alongside improved brightness and anti-reflection technology.
The camera is another major focus. There’s a 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture, designed to give photographers more control over low-light shots and depth of field, plus custom Pro controls and up to 8x optical-quality zoom.
The front-facing camera has also been upgraded to 18MP Center Stage, with the ability to fit more people into a frame and capture video using both the front and rear cameras.
Inside, the A20 Pro chip is designed around AI workloads and features a next-generation vapour chamber and Dual 16-core Neural Engine. Apple says it delivers up to 40 per cent better GPU performance than the iPhone 17 Pro.
Battery life gets an upgrade, too, with up to 23 hours of use per charge and up to three additional hours of video playback compared with the previous generation.
Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max 256GB, $2,297
Available in burgundy, black, glacier and silver.
If your philosophy is that bigger is usually better, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is the one to investigate.
The biggest difference is immediately obvious: there’s a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion up to 120Hz.
The Pro Max gets the same 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture, 8x optical-quality zoom and 18MP Center Stage front camera as the smaller Pro, making it the option for anyone who takes their phone photography seriously.
It also gets the A20 Pro chip, with Apple claiming up to 40 per cent better GPU performance than the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The battery upgrade is also notable. Apple says the iPhone 18 Pro Max offers up to six additional hours of video playback compared with the iPhone 17 Pro Max and up to 29 hours of use per charge.
And yes, it comes in burgundy. We have a feeling this is going to be a problem for anyone who was perfectly happy with their current phone five minutes ago.
Apple iPhone Duo 256GB, $3,499
Available in Star White and Night Sky.
And now for the one everyone is going to want to see in person.
The iPhone Duo is Apple’s first foldable iPhone, opening up into a 7.6-inch inner display. That makes it the largest iPhone display yet, with a nano-texture finish designed to minimise glare.
Closed, it becomes a much more compact 5.4-inch phone.
The idea is that it can adapt depending on what you are doing. Open it for a larger canvas for watching content, gaming and multitasking, or fold it into different positions for hands-free viewing and productivity.
Despite the larger display, Apple says the Duo is its thinnest iPhone when opened. It uses a Grade 5 titanium frame and hinge cover, Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and Ceramic Shield on the back.
The camera system includes 48MP Fusion Main and Ultra Wide cameras, along with a new Smart Take feature. There is also a 12MP Center Stage front camera and the first under-display FaceTime camera on an iPhone.
The A20 Pro chip powers the phone, while a dual-battery system is designed to provide all-day power.
At $3,499, this is clearly the headline-making luxury purchase of the lineup.
Whether foldable phones are about to become the new normal is another question, but Apple has officially entered the category.
Apple Watch Ultra 4 GPS + Cellular 49mm, $1,497

The Apple Watch Ultra 4 is aimed squarely at people who take their workouts, outdoor adventures and health tracking seriously.
Battery life is one of its biggest selling points, with up to 45 hours of Max Extended Workout tracking. A 15-minute fast charge can provide up to 18 hours of use.
The Ultra 4 also brings more frequent heart-rate variability measurements, with HRV readings as often as every five minutes, plus background heart-rate readings every five seconds.
The Vitals app provides overnight health metrics, while sleep tracking and a daily sleep score help you keep an eye on your routine.
For training, there is precision dual-frequency GPS, Pacer, Heart Rate Zones, Custom Workouts and training load.
Safety features include hard-fall and serious car-crash detection, while built-in satellite communications can help you contact emergency services when mobile service or Wi-Fi is unavailable.
Apple Watch Series 12 GPS + Cellular 42mm, $1,337

For those who want the new Apple Watch features without stepping all the way up to the Ultra, the Series 12 brings many of the same health and fitness tools in a different design.
It tracks heart-rate variability as often as every five minutes and background heart rate every five seconds, alongside sleep metrics, the Vitals app, a daily sleep score and menstrual cycle tracking.
There is also a readiness experience that uses recent activity, vitals and sleep data to help you understand how prepared you are for the day ahead.
For workouts, the Series 12 includes Pacer, Heart Rate Zones and Workout Buddy, powered by Apple Intelligence from a nearby iPhone.
Fall and crash detection are also built in, with the ability to help connect you with emergency services and notify emergency contacts.
Apple AirPods 5 with Wireless with Charging Case, $247
Improved noise cancellation, Live Translation and Siri AI.
Finally, something slightly easier on the wallet.
The new AirPods 5 arrive with improved Active Noise Cancellation, while Adaptive Audio combines noise cancellation and Transparency modes depending on your surroundings.
Conversation Awareness is designed to automatically lower the volume when you start talking, which should be extra useful when you are trying to have a conversation without doing the universal awkward earbud removal.
There is also Live Translation, enabled by Apple Intelligence, allowing the AirPods to assist with conversations across languages.
Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking creates a more immersive listening experience for music, films, TV shows and games.
And, naturally, Siri is getting smarter. You can use your voice to ask questions, brainstorm ideas and have conversations without constantly reaching for your phone.
So, that’s the 2026 Apple lineup in one place.
There’s the practical upgrade, the camera-focused Pro, the enormous Pro Max, the very expensive and very intriguing foldable Duo, the fitness-focused Ultra 4, the everyday Series 12 and AirPods 5 for anyone who wants a relatively simple way to give their tech setup a refresh.
Now comes the difficult part: deciding whether you actually need the upgrade, or whether Apple has simply made burgundy look far too tempting.
