My fiancee is currently running a blog competition for 500 Entrecard credits donated by me.  Basically all you need to do is come up with a top comment for the photo on her site.  It is Socko's Spot.  Pretty simple way to get 1 and 2/3rd days worth of maximum drops.

fixed the URL in this one, it had single quotes in it which was throwing the BBcode out.

I'm running a little promotion over at Quit Your Day Job trying to drum up some new link love that has died off since my grand URL shift.

When someone mentions me and links to QYDJ within a post I will send them some shiny plastic beads (Springer style) if they send me a photo of them or a more attractive friend holding or wearing the beads I'll dedicate a post to them thus completing the circle of link love.

I've also got some Star Trek novels to give away but I can't think of a competition at this stage.

I do run regular competitions on my site (a community site, not my blog site). In fact I have given out over $2,000 of prizes last year (at $40/week). Whether they contributed to the growth of traffic, I truly have no idea although the competitions were created with that in mind. I guess it is probably prudent to spend money on your readers/visitors than spend them on some dodgy SEO practises

Looking forward to give away more prizes this year.

Just wanted to say thanks for mentioning the comp ShadowKnight.  I was pretty surprised to be one of the winners.     I do plan to mention it on my blog when I get the chance to catch my breath.     I seem to have plenty to say at the moment and not enough blogs to say it on.  Doh!!!
