So I have seen Twitter on peoples blogs.  never really looked into it before.

Can it be installed on wordpress.com blogs or do I have to wait for my husband to get off his big fat white behind and finish organising my Christmas present already!!  ARRRGGGHHHHHH!  I am itching for it.

OK, I am admitting to be completely computer stupid  She is talking about CSS and Wordpress 2.2

I have no idea what version I have and I thought that CSS was not available on the wordpress.com (free) blogs......

Enlighten me?

Ah, sorry, my bad, I didn't see the .COM bit - nah, as far as I know there is no twitter component available for wordpress.com.

BUT, you can have an RSS widget I think, and Twitter does provide you with an RSS feed of your Twitter stream. I haven't tried it (yet) though.

Hmmmm, maybe I'll go do that now...

YES! If you go to http://goatlady.wordpress.com/ my twitter feed now displays in the sidebar (it's way, way down).

I went to the widgets section of wordpress.com admin, under presentation, and added an RSS Feed widget... then clicked on it to edit it's properties and added the rss feed from my public twitter account (I got the right RSS feed address my clicking on the RSS icon in Firefox's addressbar on my twitter page - http://twitter.com/goatlady/).

Superbly easy

By the way, I have control over the CSS in my wordpress.com account - but I pay $15 per year for the privilege (or something like that). Even though all my other blogs are self-hosted Wordpress I wanted to know what the hosted one was like so that's where I keep my personal blog - and it IS lots of fun, it's a very good platform.

I just use the widget generator that Twitter itself has but that only displays you can't actually add more entries.  It also generated a crap link.  :25:
