I have a two column layout now with a custom made blog header.  Would it be difficult to change to a three column layout without mucking my blog header about too much!  What do you think??

I tried to do this with OzSoapbox and found that I wound up totally changing the code and had huge alignment issues with the header.

I basically had to start again with a new theme and some heavy customisation.

It can be done but it depends on how flexible your current theme is and how hard coded it is. My first theme was very hard coded and was anightmare to modify.

If I were you, I'd create a new layout (3 col.) just taking into account the header dimensions you need. May be easier/neater for you in the long run.

If you are using wordpress check this out:

It lets you create your own layouts (including 3 columns) with very little work required.

Here's a list of other template generators you might find handy.
