zpinkflower  I just came across an article on how wealthy we would be if we would not have spent money on stuff we really didn't need.  If I had all the money I spent on "notebooks" to organize myself, I surely would not have a money problem now.  What have you purchased that was a total waste?

Unfortunately I'm a hoarder and I love all my crap! I'd be rich if I didn't buy CDs and band tshirts. But it could be worse.... my cousin claims that to come to Germany with us next year she would have to stop buying shoes. At last count she had 90 (yes, ninety, nine-zero) pairs of heels alone.

Buying food out is probably my major indulgence.

I would have to agree with Evan, buying food that I'm not really in need of.

Oh gosh, I'm a major binge shopper but luckily thanks to a cut in hours at work I haven't been stupid enough to spend my cash on everything I see.

Majority of waste of money things I've bought are probably dresses I only wear once, movies and odd bits and pieces that I end up finding in the draw a couple of years later!

Yeah eating out is a big favourite with me and my friends.  My 10" Asus EEEpc netbook really wasn't needed, but I love it, so glad I got it.

Have to be honest, I didn't really need a Toshiba Satellite either, but what the hell!

I bought it anyway.

Having said that, if I had the money back I spend on shoes, then yeah, I probably could have bought 2 new laptops...

xembarassed  Just bought a packet of 8 night lights for the house.  I only needed 2 but the packet was cheap.  Couldn't resist.  Now, I have 6 packed away.  Hmmmm.

I buy too much of everything, I'm way too impulsive when I shop. I'm working on it though, with a baby on the way and cutting back to one income I don't have much choice.  I have really been wanting to get an iphone for ages, but got a cheap phone on a cheap plan instead. It was hard, but when I worked out how much money I would save over a year it made sense. Doesn't mean that I don't still want one though!

zpinkflower  I have a Blackberry which I love.  Yes, it's too expensive for me to have, have to pay an extra $24 US for the web but I do love it.  I should have done what you did, add up the cost for the year...wait, I did do that...just did not have the will power to say no.  Once you get into the PDA Smartphones, it's really hard to change.  By the way, congratulations on your baby.  You will never regret staying at home to bring up you own.  I never did even if it cost me my career.  Never made it to Controller but my children are the best.  Good luck!
