I haven't followed any of the big ones... but I do follow a few musicians and I think it's pretty interesting. A very different way for bands to communicate with their fans.

@amandapalmer is awesome... so is @trentreznor

Is anyone following oprah or ashton whatever his name is? Do they provide entertainment or value?

I havve been following pete Evans (chef) and he has freely admitted that he has no idea how too use Twitter but trying to learn. I guess if you like food shows he is worth following cause he is giving hints about what he is filming. That's about as celebrity as I have got....

Twitter confuses the life out of me...I don't see a lot to get excited about, I have to be honest...I'm lucky to work out where the devil I am without trying to follow someone else...

I made a twitter account a few weeks ago but everytime I try to use it I wind up sitting there going, 'wait why am I using this again?"

And that's the thing isn't it? The purpose eludes me I'm afraid...

Age is kicking in I think!

Half of the celebs on twitter have their staff tweet for them.

- Hugh Jackman got caught out recently.

I follow a few celebs

Neil Gaiman @neilhimself  is interesting as is Stephen Fry @stephenfry

I also follow David Hewlett @dhewlett  (Rodney from Stargate Atlantis) so I can see where to watch out for him next (ya I'm a mad David Hewlett fan).

Recently started following Amber Benson @amber_benson (Tara from Buffy) because she has released a book and I wanted to find out more.

Kevin Smith @ThatKevinSmith of Clerks / Mall Rats fame mostly tweets about hockey, getting stoned or sex or combination of the three.  It is a little disturbing.

I read his blog for a little while (not sure if he still blogs) but there's only so many bowel movements I can read about.

I follow Stephen Fry

Stephen Fry is awesome - he's one of the few celebrities that really *get* twitter, imho.

Agreed, he talks about it on UK tv shows and tweets from airports, hotel rooms and everywhere he goes around the world. Some of this tweets are really funny - you wouldn't expect anything less of him really. He's quite entertaining.

Its ok if they are genuinely participating in the community, but not good if they're only using it to plug their latest movie/cd/book.
