Hello to everyone on this forum!
I hope that everyone here enjoyed a Merry Christmas. I also wish that everyone here enjoys a wonderfully prosperous New Year!
I first read about this fine resource over at

Welcome to the forums..
About the name - and this is not a criticism, it is simply how I feel, so don't take it the wrong way. To me there is only one problogger and that is Darren Rowse. I have seen so many people using the name, getting domain names with the word problogger in there - I have no idea how he feels about it (maybe he'll chime in and let us know) but I can tell you what it does to me - it makes me think of *him*. Not that it is a bad thing - for him - but for someone as a blogger wanting to stand out, it is maybe not optimal.
So when bloggers are talking about branding themselves and branding their blogs etc, I'm not sure how effective calling ones self "problogger" as a name actually is. It would be much better to pick out an absolutely unique name or nickname, and then go be known as that name - then when people see the name, they're going to think of you rather than of someone else. I wonder if that is something you might want to do here on the forums? If yes, you can change your visible name in your profile..
Does that make any sense at all?
I think we admins are going to have to talk about what happens if we get 20 bloggers with problogger in their username - we'll all get terribly confused!
Lovely to see another person from the US joining us..

You make very good sense, Snoskred.
I have changed my visible name to Mark, which is my real name.
I may have to consider rebranding my blog to another name - which may be a very interesting - and complicated, process.
I have a lot to learn about Pro Blogging. Perhaps I should have called my blog
Ambitious Bloggers Matrix
LOL.

Well Snoskred is a pretty unique name - using something nobody else is using makes it a lot easier for people to find you in the search engines too..
I wrote about choosing a unique nickname over in
this thread
..
As far as having a long way to go - I think 99% of us do, before we ever reach true problogger status..
And me, I'd rather be known for being me anyway..
But I'm a bit strange like that which is why I chose the very strange name that most people copy and paste in case they spell it wrong

I must admit I did a double take when I saw the name, me being familiar with the Problogger blog by Darren Rowse. That aside, welcome to the Aussie bloggers forum with a mix of non-Aussies thrown in.

Welcome Mark. (That's much easier to type!
) It is nice to have another person from the States. I think you're the second (??) but there are 2 expats here as well.
Looking forward to see you around. Ambition is a fine thing.
