But where's mine?

I've had a rough day too - M&M (5) has lost her $70 Jazz shoes which are precisely 9 days old....

Simple stuff is the best.  When big stuff happens there is usually big stress involved or a big after the excitement ends let down.

Kaos and Mayhem totally describes how today is gonna be.
Our cleaners are on this morning so as soon as I've finished the morning emails I have to run around like a looney putting my crap away so they can find the house underneath to clean it. Then I have a personal training session and the chick is gonna KILL me, I just know it. I reckon walking lunges will be her weapon of choice. Then I have to pack 5 days of work into two days because I'm going to the WebDU conference Wednesday-Friday.

Which means, I should totally be off doing those things instead of sitting here looking at forums. *sigh*

While I was in Sydney, Dave secretly cleaned out one of our junk rooms, painted it and bought me a new 4 drawer filing cabinet. Which is a huge effort and something we've been putting off for quite literally years, while it gets worse and worse in there! Oh and I have a not-so-secret fetish about filing stuff rsmiley

So today we braved IKEA to get some more shelves and put the shelves in and sorted out the stuff on them and then did a tip run - 140kg worth of stuff got turfed, including the old broken filing cabinet and three non-working SGI workstations, circa 1990 (the same kind of computers used to render the CG in Terminator 2).

So I feel pretty goddamn good about today rsmiley

WOW!!!!!!!! That's a huge effort. Much kudos to Dave for getting the process started - often that is the hardest part.

And 140kgs to the tip - that is a mammoth effort. You must feel very impressed with yourselves and rightly so.

Awesome work Goatlady.

I have tons of stuff to clear out these uni holidays. I am very excited though because for the first time in forever I have a car and a boat in the garage. I'm getting there, slowly.

Today is all about study for exams (3 weeks away). I spent the last week getting on top of the house which is looking much better now, so I can concentrate on the study now.

Why am I up at 5am though? No idea.

Thanks guys! I'm pretty amazed at Dave actually, being so sneaky while I was off at WebDU getting drunk learning lots of stuff and making valuable business connections.

I'm eying off the disaster that is my walk in laundry cupboard now rsmiley
