To celebrate the silly season, we are running an Aussie Bloggers Secret Office Santa

What the hell is that?

Well, to spread the love this Christmas, we're running a Secret Santa with a stationery theme to tie in with our Blogs. Clearly bloggers love stationery - and we all need it.

So what's the deal?

Between now and Monday night at 10pm EDST add your name to the list below. Then PM Kin with your address. Preferably a PO Box, but any address you are happy to have Kin, and your Secret Santa see and know. I promise not to do anything untoward with them. You can use a work address if people won't get wierded out by mail addressed to your screen name. Clearly, in the interests of safety, you'd want to avoid giving out your home address if at all possible, but it's up to you - totally your choice.

Then between Tuesday and Friday I will draw everyone's Secret Santa's and start letting you all know via PM. Once you have your PM telling you who your Secret Santa is and where they want their gift sent, visit their blog, see what they like and go shopping for their present. The limit is $10 - $15 plus postage

If you haven't got a PM by Sunday the 9nd of November, shoot Kin a message and see what's going on.

When do I post it?
Posting date is Monday 1st December 2008 and no later!
If you think you're going to have trouble meeting this date, let me know so I can pass it on to your recipient.

Then what?
When you receive your present, post about it on your blog, then pop over here and link to your post, we'll all come over and have a gander and see what you got and drool over your precious stationery.

But won't this be insane with nearly 1000 members?
You're right, and that's why we're limiting it to the first 100 people to sign up. When you sign up with your name, start with a number so we can see where we're up to, and the thread will be closed when we get 100 names. Please don't sign up if you're not going to follow through, it isn't very fair.

Can I choose who I want to buy a gift for?
That would make life really REALLY awkward for me, so no  rwink sorry, not this time. Everything will be randomly done - even if I have to get my kids to pull names out of a hat.
