Well now I KNOW I'm old! What the devil is a Wii Fit??? More importantly, can I blog on it???

But I would need to hang onto the laptop is the problem...will check the accessories to see if there's a stand of some description...

They're GREAT fun and totally addictive. Hard though. The balance games were where I spent most of my time, as opposed to the exercise, yoga and muscle building ones ... but if I actually owned one then I imagine I would spend more time on those other areas.

I vowed never to buy a game console while our kids were little.  But Nintendo are doing a damn good job of convincing me otherwise.  Wii Fit may just make it onto our Christmas present list.

 A Wii is on our christmas list. Along with new gameboy ds lights for the kids............... cos the Wii will be mine. Mine I tells ya!!

We've been playing Super Mario Galaxy this week - it isn't as easy as it seems but it is a lot easier than the old mario games used to be. You can do a two player version of it where the talented one known as Admin gets to do all the hard stuff, and I just get to collect the star bits with my remote.

I saw this article on news.com.au where women are said to be destroying their houses with wii fit..

Journeyer - my nephews have such brilliant hand-eye coordination as a result of their game consoles. And if I keep playing, so will I! Back in our day it wasn't such a necessary skill but I think it is something most kids will need to have in the future.

Dug out the Super Ninetnedo, blew off all the dust and got out the original Super Mario Bros cassette. Retro gaming at it's best, although the music has a hypnotic/mind destroying effect on you after a while. Then it was Donkey Kong's turn (my favourite), then the boys had a bash at 2 player Galaga, the original 80's version.

My thumb hurts now...

I think our super nintendo was thrown out some time ago, but we still have the N64 and gamecube.

4 player mario kart on the N64 is still the favourite in this house. lol

The Wii Fit has arrived here today.

It is a lot harder than it looks, and it certainly felt like quite a workout. It was especially difficult for me today as I still have this middle ear infection and balancing was almost impossible. I ended up doing more of the aerobic activities instead. Hula hoop is great!

I really liked the step activity. I can see me getting a lot of use out of that. I'm not so into the Yoga but I am hopeful one will come out with Tai Chi in it because that would rock.
