Anyone else doing the 30 Day Challenge this year?

If you're not sure what it's all about, I blogged about it here.

They say that it's great to do in a team so if anyone else is doing it, let me know.   xsmiley

Hi Lightening!

I haven't signed up for it this year... had a look through last year and what Frank Kern (fellow Aussie) had to offer is amazing.  Even if others don't want to join a team or keep up with the challenge day by day the information that can be gained from the challenge is definitely worth while.

Hi Lightning,

Yep, I've signed up! And so far, the stuff on Flock is fantastic! If this what I'm learning in the pre-season, I can't wait for the Challenge itself rsmiley

And after having a quick squiz at your blog, I think we have a lot in common! I've subscribed rsmiley And I'd love to join up in a team, if you're up for it!

That's great Jess.  So far we have Kin, A Juggling Mum, You and Myself who are all a part of this forum as well.  So I'm sure if we wanted to we could discuss some of what we're learning right here.

Thanks for subscribing to my blog too.   xsmiley

Thanks for that feedback Gaida.  I'm finding that so far this year.  There is some great information to be gleaned whether you're interested in the $10 side of things or not.  I'm a bit behind on the videos now though.  Been a bit of a long week.  But the pace of pre season is great (more relaxed) and hopefully my brain will be back on channel by August - if not, I'll just carry on at my own pace (I understand they leave all the videos and everything up until pre season the following year so there is plenty of time to catch up).

That sounds great, Lightening! I guess we could just stick to this thread and keep in touch that way?

I'm not - got so much on at the moment. Was interested in seeing the comment about Moonee Ponds though - just last night hubby and I were talking about Geoffrey Rush and Barry Humphries - aren't they both Moonee Ponds boys or somewhere close to there?

Jess - yes, in this thread was what I was thinking.  I intend to blog about it as I go as well (assuming I get my blogging brain back sometime soon  xundecided ).  But this seems like an easy place to gather and chat, encourage and ask one another questions and others might enjoy following our journey and experiences.  There is the 30-Challenge forums as well but this feels more like home to me.   xwink

Kathie - the timing won't be right for everybody.  You're welcome to join in the conversation here (or just read) if you're interested without a high commitment level.

Moonee Ponds - we used to live in Essendon which is right next door and a good friend of mine lived in Moonee Ponds.  I spent lots of time shopping there too!!!  Spending all of the $3 I had as a poor uni student.   xlaugh  Can't answer your question about Geoffrey Rush or Barry Humphries though.

Barry Humphries grew up in Camberwell. However, housewife superstar extraordinaire Edna Everage, was from Moonee Ponds  xgrin

Geoffrey Rush is a Queenslander.

Yes I'm running behind too. Glad I didn't take on an extra subject in the middle of the year. I'll be probably back on deck for the 30DC Tuesday week or so. At this point I'm basically keeping my head above water!

Welcome Aboard Planning Queen sunny

Hey Kin, was wondering when we might hear from you.  Figured you were probably up to your eyeballs in exams and the like.

Up to my eyeballs is an understatement.  xlaugh

I may be applying for special consideration for this exam. I should be ok if I get a decent sleep tonight. Otherwise I'll be claiming "sick children" as an excuse for poor performance. Hopefully I won't have to  xundecided

Back on topic.... yes, I'll be there  xwink

I was just thinking - can we all post our Twitter names here so we can keep up to date with each other? Lightening, I'm already following you...
Mine is twitter.com/Epheriell rsmiley
I've got to go watch lesson 5!
Also, if anyone's interested, I could possibly set us up with a private forum on my server - just let me know if you think that's a good idea.

I did 30DC last year and it was brilliant.  I didn't make my $10 but I learnt so much that I was amazed.  I am going to try for this years challenge but I don't like my chances.  I ahve even missed preseason so far.  I have a lot of catching up to do.

Benny - there hasn't been too much in preseason so far.  I don't think you'll find catching up that hard.

Epheriell - my concern with another forum is that it's another thing for people to check.  I have started up a thread on the 30-Day challenge forums as well as this thread.  Not sure what others may feel though in terms of a separate forum for our team and happy to go with whatever the majority would like.

AJugglingMum - I'll take the credit if it all works out okay and we'll blame Kin (who got me onto it) if it all goes pear shaped.  Sound fair???   xlaugh

My thoughts so far - it's a great experience for those wanting to learn a bit more even if they're not interested in making money.  AND, I LOVE the way it's aimed at newbies so you don't need much knowledge to participate, learn and benefit.

Have just written Team Lightening which includes a link for the 30-Day Challenge Forums thread for those interested.

I just signed up.  Thought I'd missed the boat, but hopefully I'll be able to catch up  xundecided.  I've been trying out Flock already off and on for a couple of weeks.  It's quite different isn't it?

Can I join Team Lightening?

Me too!  I've just learnt about Twitterbar and I'm quite excited about it.

And I managed to install Zemanta too which saves me so much time blogging.
