Bonfires In My Head

WWW
« on: February 22, 2008, 06:34:44 pm »

I did a new theme this week for MountainMama and I have to say I adore it. It originally came from this site -

Ygosearch

You just have to check the footer because I found a couple of strange links in there.

I can't wait for MountainMama to officially launch the blog, I'm so thrilled about how it turned out. rwink She did the header graphic, I just changed all the colors from green to blue.

I also like the themes found on this site -

Jauhari

I was going to use one of them myself originally, before I saw freedom green. That came from Court's site, where you can find some of great SEO themes, which I have already mentioned here before.

I also did a great twist on Freedom Green this week, hopefully they will give me permission to link to it once the site is launched. rwink

Does anyone else have a link to a site with good free WP themes, other than the WP site of course. rwink

This one is pretty good. If I can't fx the problem with my Scenic Adelaide them I may use one of three that I have downloaded from that site.

I'm a theme addict. I mean seriously, I spend hours going through themes and have heaps saved on my computer but it doesn't stop me from going through more.  I wish all the theme websites had thumbnails for you to view but many of them don't - you have to click on the linked name to see them which becomes even more time consuming.

I have a list of blog theme sites (both Blogger and Wordpress) on a menu on my blog at www.soho-life.com. I might just have to add these links too!

Of course you can tweak them to be any color you like rwink

Have you guys seen http://www.freewordpressthemes.com?  I'm on page 155 so far and still looking through them. They say there are over 500 themes - well so far I've seen over 1500. Their search feature doesn't work well - it crashes out, I have let them know and they're supposed to be fixing it.  But in the meantime, I'm just surfing through page by page - 9 themes to a page and have downloaded a few for future use.

Thanks jono, I got a them from that site for my latest blog, WassupBlog and it is so cool, or is it sic, who cares because I love it. One drawback is that commentluv won't work with it but Andy is looking into that for me.

The Theme Hybrid site is new and offers free themes which are very high quality - I modified one of theirs for the ATMac site. I still haven't got some of the CSS right but I'm very pleased with the theme!

Hey, thanks! Next step: Find the CSS help forum and see if I can figure out why the main header has the words too high up the page!

I'm getting there...

I know stuff all about css, but I use the try trial and error method, after making a backup of course. xwink

LOL! Me too, actually, but I've run out of ideas for this one! The "ATMac" is too high up on the page - it runs over the navigation bar so you can't click on the "archives" section rsad

Someone here can help you out. They have helped me on a couple of occasions. Posting a thread here may help.
