Hey everyone,

I haven't been the most vocal forum member here, but now I want to let you all know what I've been up to, and of course ask for your help and feedback.

I've recently launched techAU, an aggregator of Aussie tech bloggers. At the moment I have only 6 high-profile names on there, but I'd really love to add anyone else who fits the bill. So is there anyone out there who'd like to be on the site? If you consistently blog on-topic about things like web 2.0, social media, and startups, then I'd love to add you.

In time I might do something else with the domain, but at the moment I'm really looking to get a lot of great bloggers aboard.

If you're interested or you just want to leave me some feedback, reply, message me or comment on my announcement post here.

Thanks rsmiley

Well Sueblimely seemed fairly sure I'd find interested types in here - maybe I'm just going about it the wrong way. Anybody have any ideas?

I think aggregators are a bit of a touchy topic with bloggers. It isn't anything to do with aggregators per se, it probably has to do with splogs and bloggers feeling like their content is stolen, so they don't tend to put their hand up for this kind of thing as a lot of content thieves will take the content directly from an aggregator.

I could be wrong, maybe the bloggers here will say how they feel about it. But I would never put my hand up for something like that, no matter how much I may like and respect the person running it. Even though he rejected my Entrecard ad. rwink

Okay, that's fair enough! Thing is, I would say that given the right aggregator, there's nothing nasty about it - it's really a win-win. I'm only listing the titles of the posts, never the content, so nothing is really being stolen. And it should drive more traffic and give some authority by grouping you with a bunch of other important tech bloggers rsmiley

Well, that's my pitch anyway. If people aren't real keen on the idea, fair enough rsmiley

Josh,

I would suggest adding (or approaching to add, your call) Matt Hodgson's Matt's Musings and Steve Collins' acidlabs blog. I don't blog consistently enough about anything to qualify rsmiley

Cheers, Andrew

If it is just titles, that may be a different story. rwink I don't blog on tech stuff these days though.  :rwink:

Hi Josh

Just gave it a quick shout on my blog.

Once upon a time my blog may have been relevant, but I really haven't had the time (so more personal stuff now). I may still have a few readers who might be appropriate though...
