Changing the "About" box

So, on my site is this fancy box thing "About".

So, umm, how do I change what's in it?

There's two ways - the easy way and the hard way.

The easy way is email me what you want in there and I make it happen. That is so amazingly simple (for you) that it's almost scary. 

The hard way is to go in and edit the sidebar.php file. Which isn't difficult for me cos I do it all the time, it is just pasting text in the right place, but perhaps not so simple for you as you've never done it before.

You also need to watch the amount of words because if you use less then the image in the about box may need resizing.

So I'm suggesting send the new text to me.  only cos I want to go to bed right now instead of typing out the long explanation of how to change it, and also logging into your blog to make sure I made those files editable..

Yay, finally one that I know the answer too.

First step if you're not used to doing this kind of thing is to get a drink for dutch courage   and to calm the nerves . OK seeing as you're still BF you can have a softdrink.

Next steps are to log in and then go to Presentation then Theme Editor.

On the RHS of the screen is a menu in blue - click on Sidebar and in amongst everything there will be the text that you see in the About Box on the home page - just type it in there and then save.

Then have another drink. Or I did cause I did that the day after Snoskred handed over the blog and I was so worried about "breaking" it.

You didn't tell me there was an easy way Snoskred - I almost had a heart attack doing mine - but I survived and so did my blog

Or alternatively you could give Gemisht's instructions a go. That's because they are 100% correct. 

I double checked and your files should be writable - let me know if you don't see an "update file" button at the bottom of the menu on the right hand side of the screen.

OH OH I did get to the right place then, I just couldn't find what I was looking for (I wasn't going to change it, just look  )
