Can you ban an IP from being able to post comments on a wordpress.com blog?
I can see an option for blacklisting
Comment Blacklist
When a comment contains any of these words in its content, name, URL, e-mail, or IP, it will be marked as spam. One word or IP per line. It will match inside words, so "press" will match "WordPress".
Is this the same thing? Can you put in just an IP?

That's my understanding how it works. Options/discussion and then the comment blacklist section. If you enter the IP (yes, only the IP) theoretically it should work. Any others would need to go on separate lines.

It does work, and works well. I have 3 ip addresses in mine and they regularly get spammed.
