I really don't like the way the site looks to be honest - I could only bring myself to skim over the content and it certainly didn't appeal to me but I had problems working out where one post stopped and the next one started.

The design and content of her blog are really below par (so not what I wanted to say, but I was trying to be polite). Yeah, the not sorry post was amusing, but I agree Lee, the division between posts is really hard to see, there'a way too much white space and all those returns to make you scroll down - I mean come on, it's not a chain email!!

So I'm surprised by the site winning but more annoyed that last year's winner didn't make the home page of News.com.au

This is what annoys me the most about it - she only won the award because she's famous and the only reason the award is news is because she's famous.

To me, the whole "famous people blogging" is sort of the antithesis of what blogging is about - the beauty of blogging is that anyone can have one and we get the chance to read about normal people's lives - and discover all the different ways there are to be normal! 

I guess there will always be simpering fans getting excited about hearing some vapid twit rave on, just because she's on radio...

I guess she's probably talked about her blog on her radio show. I noticed that a lot of her commenters seemed to have nothing to do with the bog content and just talked about JJJ.

Most of the awards get a little strange when famous people (including people famous in the blogworld) get nominated.  It['s the nature of awards, I think.  I'm being all kinds of philosophical today - largely because I have realised the only fame I will ever get is very, very very niche - I intend to expand this year from being famous in my loungeroom to being famous in the local Farmers' Market.  I don't know if I can expand my niche further than that in a hurry, so no bloggies for me .

The sad thing is the number of truly exceptional blogs that just don't get noticed when the fame factor sneaks in.  I haven't been part of the bLogies discussion, but I do hope they happen.  I can think of a half dozen Aussie bloggers who just don't have the profile they deserve, and that's before I sit down and think about it seriously.

I have many wigs and had me head shaved for cancer yesterday. I used to read this blog in my very early days of blog reading. Very cliquey and indulgent, but each to their own. We are all a few clicks away from having our blogs being famous in our own mind. I got the feeling that many of the people who read her blog did not have blogs themselves.
