This was nearly 20 years ago - funny how the memory gets stirred. We had a grill (as you do) in the oven, but rarely used it. I noticed a smell & couldn't isolated it. Turns out a sausage had fallen off the grill plate at the back of the oven (a few weeks prior). At least it was cooked!
Speaking of old cooked food, a guy who ran a gym I went to kept a hamburger from an "unnamed" fast food establishment on his desk for 3 years (as the story goes). No mould, no smell. Just the bun was a bit crumbly. Kinda makes you wonder about all the preservatives eh?
I think I remember reading about or seeing that guy on TV (or someone who did the same thing with a burger from that unnaMed place) He documented what it looked like after 6 months, a year, 2 years etc and it never changed...
Bleggh!

I went out this morning with a friend whilst Annie was at Kinder. Hubby stayed home with Heidi so I could
eat, drink and be merry in peace
get my errands done faster.
Came home after 4 hours out and he had done two loads of washing - and hung them out to dry. Also washed all the dishes and cleaned the kitchen benches.
Then tonight he cooked dinner!
That man deserves a gold star.

I must admit to being an equal opportunity dishwashing delegator!
Whoever doesnt look busy gets delegated the task if anything needs hand washing.
I love my dishwasher............ Is it sin to love an appliance that much?

Only if you sit on top of it and giggle while it vibrates

Friday morning and Thursday nights dishes are sitting there staring at me. I really should wash them before it is Sunday again.
I miss my dishwasher. Last couple of places we've lived just didn't have the fittings for it (or the space) so I ended up selling it on ebay. Used the money to buy something useful like childrens tupperware tea sets, yep I brought yet more dishes to wash. Silly me.

We have just had "the" argument about the dishes! I have been working Friday and Saturday nights at my sister-in-law's tapas restaurant to help out and bring in a little extra cash and so the husband has been in charge of the kitchen and the small person. Well last night I crashed after work so its only this morning that I realise the extent of the devastation in the kitchen! A couple of the boys came round last night to watch Super 14 so the kitchen is covered in beer bottles (hello, did you not see the large recycling bin?) and the sink is overflowing with dirty plates. (men, meet the dishwasher, this large stainless steel appliance!) Apparently the excuse for not filling it was "but its already full of clean stuff". Yes, and thats why you EMPTY it first!
Sigh.

.
I got a google hit on blog today for "Dishwashing Instructions" so went off to google it myself. Seems
our Prime Minister
also has issues with dishwashing
