Hi folks, not quite sure where to post this, but hopefully here.

Someone created me a website. It needed alterations she didn't want to do, my son said he would finish it and she agreed to that but he was going to take forever. I eventually created what I wanted in a blog, or rather a nest of blogs around one Blogger profile. Everyone's happy - but I can't find out how to redirect to new site from old domain name. The original website designer is having personal crises right now and I don't want to ask her this. My son doesn't seem to know. GoDaddy is the domain name host but when I look at their web page I am totally bamboozled and can't see where to contact them with this enquiry.

The trouble is, the domain name is our contact address in my husband's recently published book!

Can anyone tell me how to do the redirect? The old domain name is http://www.nissen-wade.com and the new one is http://lifemagicsite.blogspot.com/

I would also like to know, if possible, how to take the old website out of existence.

I know Blogger gives instructions for directing one's blog to one's domain. I wish to do the exact opposite.

Can you login to your godaddy account?  If you can't you will need to convince Godaddy you own the domain.  If you can, log in, click on Domains, then click on the domain url itself.  From there you will be faced with a control panel.  There is a field where you can put the address of the domain you want to forward it to.  You can also select permanent direct or temporary.

Kathie that's helpful, many thanks. I don't have the password, but can probably get that without too much trouble. Godaddy would send it to web designer's email which is what they have on file, but I can ask her for it and that shouldn't be too much for her to cope with! Once I have it - well, you have made it easy for me!  xsmiley

PM me if you need more help and I can give you more step-by-step specifics.

Cheers!
