Header problem with blogger template

I wanted to change the look of my blog as I was sick of the standard templates.  I found one that I like and have uploaded it and made a few modifications.  (That is more amazing than it sounds - I am sooo non-tech!)

The header image won't line up where it is supposed to although it is the same size as the original.  What am I doing wrong?

what I suggest to you is get firebug which is realy good tool for debugging problems.
Run yr site into it and see if you pick the difference.
Also get the template downloaded and comapre with the old one or others..

There was an issue with the header on the original download but the recommended fix is in place, so now I don't know?

Looks as though it's just too small, to me? Try opening the header image in photoshop or paint or something and stretch it to 980x260... that's the size you need I think.

I second Nomesque.  980 x 260.

It was made in photoshop 980 x 260.  A larger sized image makes no difference.  A really big one just doesn't show at all.

The image you're linking to is definitely 799x212.  I can't see the photobucket album because it is private, but  it could have been resized when you uploaded it.

I had a quick look and is says that the image properties were 799 x 183

Try using a different image with the right proportions and see what happens.

If you're still having trouble with this Nomesque and you know you uploaded the right size image to photobucket, shoot me a PM and I'll send you an email addy to send the image to, and I'll put it up on my server so you can see if it is photobucket causing the problem, or the theme.

Well apparently photobucket limits the size of the pic you upload unless you buy the business account.  At least I know it isn't me!

If you can't host your own picks you could always use flickr.com. I've had no probs with them.
